Without a doubt the UK suffers from systemic racism and the treatment of Meghan Markle strongly reflects how Black British women are treated overall. However I will say that the overwhelmingly amount of people outside St Paul’s Cathedral cheered for Meghan and Harry. Some even wore ‘Team Sussex’ t-shirts. The British media is strongly biased against Black people and anyone non-white and some could argue that reflects how some White Brits feels. But, for that day the majority of people cheered, and rightly booed the prime minister but that’s another discussion. Ps, I’m a Black Brit.
